Finding your way
The beauty of being based in Veysonnaz is the sheer variety of the "loops" you can explore. Depending on the morning light and how we feel, our day can take two completely different directions.
On some days, we stay local, enjoying the wide, perfectly groomed reds and blues of the Printse sector. There’s a wonderful flow to these slopes—they are spacious, sun-soaked, and perfect for finding a steady rhythm. On other days, when we feel the call of the high alpine, we challenge ourselves to journey across the domain to Mont-Fort. Standing at 3,330 meters, with a 360-degree view that captures the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc, you truly feel the scale of the 4 Vallées.
A Different Kind of Reward
In the summer, the experience is different but equally rewarding. The snow-covered pistes transform into a network of emerald trails, and those same mountain restaurants we love in winter become the destinations for a long day’s hike.
There is something deeply satisfying about walking the bisse trails—the ancient irrigation channels that wind through the pine forests. The path is often flat and musical with the sound of running water, leading you through cool glades until you break out into the sun. Knowing that a glass of chilled Fendant (the iconic white wine of the Valais) and a terrace view at Aux Chottes is waiting for you at the end makes every kilometer worth it.
The Art of Coming Home
Whatever the season, the best part of the mountain experience is the transition back to the apartment. As the lifts close and the valley starts to glow with evening lights, there’s nothing quite like skiing—or walking back through the quiet village—to a warm home.
The mountains provide the adventure, but the Valais lifestyle—the food, the sun, and the slow afternoons spent on a terrace—is what brings us back year after year. It’s a rhythm that stays with you long after you’ve headed back down to the valley.
